📝 Step-by-Step Instructions
## Resin Pendant Making
Resin lets you capture flowers, glitter, and other inclusions in crystal-clear wearable art.
### Materials
- Two-part epoxy resin (Art Resin or similar)
- Silicone pendant molds
- Dried pressed flowers (must be COMPLETELY dry)
- Gold leaf or foil flakes
- Mixing cups and stir sticks
- Nitrile gloves and respirator
- Toothpick and heat gun or lighter
### Step 1: Prepare Inclusions
Flowers must be bone dry or they will brown and cloud the resin. Press between books for 2 weeks, or use silica gel for faster drying.
### Step 2: Mix Resin
Follow exact ratios (usually 1:1 by volume). Mix slowly for 3-5 minutes. Scrape sides and bottom.
### Step 3: First Pour
Fill mold 1/3 full. Pop bubbles with a heat gun (quick pass) or lighter (very brief).
### Step 4: Place Inclusions
After 4-6 hours (tacky stage), place flowers and gold leaf with a toothpick.
### Step 5: Final Pour
Fill remaining mold. Pop bubbles again. Cover to prevent dust.
### Step 6: Demold and Finish
After 24-72 hours, demold. Sand edges if needed. Drill hole for jump ring. Polish with fine sandpaper and resin polish.
